Victoria Peak, Shanghai Tang…. Man Mo Temple

Yes, even though it was always my intention, I have to admit we didn’t climb up to the Victoria Peak but went up with the tram – somehow we couldn’t face it today. However as Yvo’s just getting adjusted to the time difference we have a good excuse to take it easy today. The 125 year old tram climbed patiently and almost vertically up the hill… but no worries it comes with von Roll technology (swiss made!). Once at the top a few more escalators had to be taken before we reached the sky view terrace on 522m. Up there we were enjoying the amazing view over Hongkong City and Victoria Harbour.

After having made our way down again, i couldn’t resist to quickly go to Shanghai Tang… i was already NOT going there in Shanghai… Now it was just time to go there and get a little souvenir 🙂  Tja girls are always happy if they can go shopping…. and after all i decided to buy this little jumper and not the amazing dress… which i didn’t even try on as it would have had to be booked off as a fatal incident from my credit card bill and given the fact i am still travelling for a few months… let’s stay reasonable.

After successful shopping we returned to the area of our hotel and paying Man Mo Temple a visit. I promised that i will go and burn some incenses in a temple for the fact that i managed to find my train at Beijing West Railway station. Man Mo Temple seemed to me the right place to do so as it is a temple full of incenses dangling from the ceiling infusing it with a smoky air. There was energy in this temple and i strongly believe that i will now have again blessing to continue with my travelling.

i would have loved to be able to read what the people were writing on these papers they were attaching to their incenses….
